Parental control apps can be seen as commanding and intrusive, especially when it comes to adolescents. We see this as one reason why conflicts arise in families. 

Rather than taking a surveillance approach like many other apps do, we're encouraging a change in perspective by guiding family members through a wide range of activities, in hope of achieving a better balance when it comes to using technology.

Activities in FamilySense are aligned according to the 'Five Ways to Wellbeing', an research-based set of guidelines for promoting mental health.
